Jon's Refuse was started in 1972 by Jon Kummer, with a desire to provide southern Beltrami county residents with a choice in their waste disposal needs. Although ownership has changed over the past five decades, the business is back in Jon's family and still provides residents with a local, family-owned option for their sanitation needs.

 

The company's current owner, Bob Hirt, along with his grandson Braken by his side, is dedicated to keeping revenue within the local economy while maintaining the same exceptional customer service and community-oriented philosophy that founded the company.
